Physical Education

The RMES Physical Education program is another example of an excellent program within our school.  Not just gym time, our PE program is carefully designed to develop the physical skills of every student according to grade and ability.  Students learn the importance of health through exercise.  In conjunction with NAD (North American Division of Seventh-Day Adventists), State of Michigan, FitnessGram and the "Presidents Youth Fitness Program", our students learn and can demonstrate the correct techniques for many different physical activities, how to apply those skills and appreciate the benefits of developing habits towards lifelong physical fitness.  Students in each grade also learn about specific motor skills,  the rules and strategies of many different types of games and how to play each with excellence and good sportsmanship.  In winning or losing, coming in first, second, or last, Coach Lonto teaches each student the importance of representing Christ's character.  Whether in Kindergarten or 8th grade, students learn that their bodies were wonderfully created by God to do amazing things!

Students in grade 5 - 8 can also participate in our Intramural sports program.
